Annual Report 2025
This year, we decided to produce an Annual Report with a more visual format and more informative, useful content. The report has been written by the Swedish Coordinator, Jandi Hallin, with valuable support from Tina Johannessen, who is completing a two-month internship with Jandi during the winter and spring as part of her Environmental Entrepreneurship studies (180 ECTS) at Mid Sweden University in Östersund.
This collaboration has been both enjoyable and highly rewarding. We hope you find the report engaging and insightful, and we warmly welcome any suggestions or feedback on how we can further develop and improve it for next year using the same template.

Annual Report 2024
1. Steady Membership Growth
In 2024, 29 new host farms were approved. Nationally, membership numbers improved in eight out of twelve months compared to the previous year, indicating continued positive development. In addition, 802 reviews were collected, of which 95.76% were positive – a strong testament to the quality of the exchanges between hosts and WWOOFers.
2. Focus on Safety and Quality
The organization has actively worked on improving its complaints procedure. A new practice involves temporarily deactivating members under investigation, which has proven to foster increased trust and dialogue. Several hosts with low activity were also contacted personally towards the end of the year, resulting in meaningful conversations and renewed engagement.
3. Marketing and New Partnerships
Collaborations were initiated or strengthened with actors such as the Swedish Organic Farmers’ Association (Ekologiska Lantbrukarna), the Rural Economy and Agricultural Societies (Hushållningssällskapet), and the magazine Åter, broadening WWOOF’s visibility within the agricultural sector. A strategic brainstorming session on future marketing efforts was held in September, and an in-person board meeting was planned for the spring.
4. Organizational Development and Digitalization
The digital FAQ section has been enhanced to better support new users. Insurance solutions for volunteers and active members have been updated through Fremia and Folksam, ensuring continued safety and security in their engagements.
5. Strengthened Cohesion Within the Board
An in-person gathering at the chairperson’s home in Halland helped deepen collaboration within the board. Internal commitment has been crucial in driving the organization forward during the year. Coordinator Jandi was able to increase working hours over the summer thanks to improved finances and the completion of their studies.
In Conclusion
The year 2024 was marked by a strong focus on members, growth, and key steps toward global collaboration. With continued national engagement and strengthened international connections, WWOOF Sweden looks forward to 2025 with confidence.
