Typically, our members are independent and we communicate primarily through the site’s email messaging system. If you, as a WWOOF Sweden member, encounter an emergency situation, you must of course first and foremost call the emergency number 112 which goes to SOS Police, Ambulance and Fire Service etc. The fact that there are health centers and having, for example, an EHIC (European health insurance card) with you in your backpack to show when you visit the health center can be very helpful.
If you are in an emergency situation that is more of a “WWOOFig character” and that cannot be resolved between the WWOOFer or the farm host, you have the option of calling this mobile number 0046702891021 and we will be happy to help as much as we can. We have solved a lot of craziness that was hard to predict before it happened.
To parents who have sent their “young adult children” out into the world for the first time and are wondering if they have arrived at the farm, we can inform you that usually your child is so engrossed in everything new that they forget to call home or they often don’t have so good coverage in the yard so maybe that’s why they don’t respond.
